9th Asia Pacific Regional Conference

Welcome to the 9th Asia Pacific Regional Conference, which took place in the state of Selangor, Malaysia, from 3 to 9 June 2007.
More than 100 participants from 23 countries in the region gathered to discuss issues related to the general development of quality Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting and to take the region forward supporting the strategic directions of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
One of the first events was the Friends of Asia Pacific 3rd gathering. Chairman of the Friends of Asia Pacific, Letty R. Aranilla, welcomed the 79 participants and they all enjoyed a dinner hosted by Tourism Pahang.
