22nd Asia Pacific Regional Scout Conference in Tokyo

The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) 22nd Asia Pacific Regional Scout Conference was held in Tokyo, Japan from 15 to 23 October 2007. The theme of the Conference was 'Towards a New Century.'

More than 530 participants from 24 National Scout Organizations, including representatives from other NGOs including WAGGGS, International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF), UNHCR, International Awards Association (IAA) attended. At this conference there was discussion on strategic plan 2007-2009 including various reports of internal work business and many awards of scouting were presented.

June Cameron Chairman Asia Pacific Committee and  Mariko Asano, Asia Pacific Committee member attended this conference. WAGGGS Asia Pacific Region presented with a focus on the works of the Association and its cooperation with WOSM at world, region and national levels.
