Her Majesty the Queen of Brunei Darussalam granted audience to WAGGGS Asia Pacific Committee
Her Majesty the Queen of Brunei Darussalam Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, Royal Patron of the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (GGABD) and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, President of GGABD granted two separate audiences to the Asia Pacific Committee at Istana Nurul Iman during the Committee’s recent trip to Brunei Darussalam. The AP Committee was in Brunei for the 41st AP Committee Meeting from 14 – 20 March.
June Cameron receives Citizen of the Year Award
June Cameron Chairman, Asia Pacific Committee received this award for her work as a teacher of the hearing impaired for over 30 years, from 1964 to 1972, having been teacher in charge of the Integrated Unit for hearing impaired students in high schools. Her involvement with Girl Guiding for 26 years and work on the Asia Pacific Committee of WAGGGS was also noted on receipt of her award.

Almost 200 children from Typhoon Parma affected families received gifts donated by members of the AP Region in an outreach programme by the Girl Scouts of Philippines.
