International Award Association (IAA) news

June Cameron, Chairman, Asia Pacific Committee attended the International Award Association-Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Regional Board Meeting in New Zealand from 12 to 16 November 2007.

June presented a session on WAGGGS and partnership. Her attendance extended the relationship that has been established between Sue Walker, Director of IAA Asia Pacific Region and the Asia Pacific Region Committee.

Currently a Memorandum of Understanding is being developed which will promote the Award as a program for girls and young women that Member Organizations within the Region can access. At the same time it will raise the profile of WAGGGS within other organizations using the program of the International Award Association.
